Re-vamp your Books

Hoi Hoi!

Last day of 2015 and I'm BLOG! So... what kind of news should I post?
Only a tutorial how to cover your un-interesting book. It's so simple, everyone can do this. But I'll show you my way.
Here you go.

First things first, you need the equipment like;
- Pattern gift paper
- Plastic cover wrap
- Clear tape
- Exacto knife or cutter
- Scissors
- Ruler
- Book

Picture No. 2 & 3:
I skip how to cover the book, because yes, everyone can do that. Or if you can't, choose someone to cover up. And after you cover the book, please do more check more than once for not flippin' the first page into the back side.

And here's a gift paper with birthday cakes pattern. I love this pattern! I cut some and arrange to the cover. Free to arrange, depends your mood :)

And after you set collage, stick it with glue.

Almost done.
Make your own book title just by hand drawing. And give a little 'sweetness' on back side too.

Don't forget to give book number on side too.

Cover with book plastic cover, zip it with clear tape and voila! It's done! Yay!

True Love Can Wait

Last month, I've got a special requested from my best friend, Elza (call her Echa) for her Big Day, her wedding day. The unique part was Echa has married with one of our friend from high school. Yes me, Echa and her husband from the same school. Even me and Echa were being best friends since junior high school, met her since we were 13 years old. Yes it has been so looong time... time flies so fast... until I didn't realize now I'm in mid twenty (almost end twenty).

They didn't made some pre-wed photos, so they need my help to make some illustrations for their wedding. I feel surprised also honored. I almost cancelled the request, because they requested 2 days before THE DAY. Such an insane! If I'm not love or disrespect them I would not take the job. But because they are also my family, and we are growing up together... being fool and smart, sad and happy, poor and prosperity, childish and maturity... we've been through those pace together, and I feel so happy with their wedding plan, so I accept the challenge. Even it will make me feels so tired after that.

First time Echa needs me to make some comic about their love-journey, but because I can't make comics so I didn't make it. I offered the other option was making some illustration. Same concept like Echa's, but with illustrations. And I feel its a good time to flexing my hands after long time not keep in touch with papers and pencils, hehehe...

So here's the illustrations !

and here's the mini clip about their love-journey<3

These rough pictures below are the raw sketches before it was displayed at Wedding Day

Alhamdulillah it's done! And it looks neat and pretty good to display :).
One night before, the Saturday night, I went to Bintaro Plaza, quickly find the perfect frames. Going home and continue to coloring until morning comes... I am not sleeping! Stay on along the night. AND continue being a best woman at the wedding day, Sunday morning. AND fainted on Sunday evening!

Oh, now they are already a month being a wife and husband! Congratulation!
May Allah always bring happiness for your new little family. Amiin Allahuma aamin..

Follow The Passion

I was starting to blog since 2010. And the first time I (actually, "we", because The Lady Locker were made by 5 different heads at first, but me as the central admin) blogging, I was follow people really professional in blogging-world. My first blogger to follow was Diana Rikasari, she was really inspiring and talented person in netizen world. Then my co-mate showed me the young blogger from America, Tavi Gevinson (which is now she's really amazing and drop-dead successful by her artwork at Rookie). I became her fans until today--until I bought her book too, Rookie Yearbook One (...still collecting my money for buy Rookie Yearbook Two *sigh*).

By looking all my inspirations, I was thought that for being a blogger you need to know more about fashion. Because I just followed the Fashion Bloggers, I still didn't know there were so much bloggers outside, not only fashion issues. So I always posted about fashion... and fashion and fashion. Yea, I love fashion, but to compete with the seniors you have to be something different. "I am different." yes I am,  I said that to myself. But I'm not strong enough to 'get in' in the competition. My ideas are always branched. Sometimes I post about fashion, but another day I post about hang out, or environment. I'm not consistent enough.

So now after 3 years ahead, I found my blog-passion. I decided for not being a fashion blogger anymore. I am a blogger. I blog about everything I like, my activities, my stories, my passion in environment, books, handicraft... I promise I won't be a follower again. I'm still follow and read another favorite fashion bloggers for example like Sonia Eryka, Cindy Biantoro, Camile, Evita Nuh. But I won't being them. They already exist by their personal style. I have too, but yeah.. as a Fashion blogger wasn't my truly passion :)

So this is me, a person who loved about fashion, in another kind of your perspective, I love something about handicraft. I get addicted of that. I love books, comics.. I am proud to be a geek, I love capturing moments, but hell yeah I am not a pro photographer :D so I am feel free playing photo-edited, I love to be an activist in an organization like Greenpeace. And now you can see all of that inside my blog. And feel free to comment!

This November, I would like to show you something different. Every month I will make one fashion spread, inspiration by Rookie Mag. Maybe some of you can feel the sustainability between Rookie Mag and my photos spread. It's not copying, but it's inspired. Just enjoy.

Glittery Dorothy

Still with my DIY project, today I re-vamp my old red converse with something new. Something that would bring me to Oz like Dorothy. Yup! I make up my sneakers with red glitters!^^

I love to search in youtube about DIY Project etc, and I was found in one account about making your own Halloween costume with cheap and easy way. And now I want to do it with my own shoes.

First thing to do, you will need this equipment. Prepare all.
1. Big bowl (to accommodate grain glitters, by the way the bowl not include in this photo, but next, I forgot to put it in).
2. Fox glue
3. Brush, medium size.
4. Absolutely glitters (I choose the red one, because my basic sneakers is red)
5. Paper tape
6. Old newspapers.
7. 3M Spray Mount Artist's Adhesive
8. A little magic of creativity :) Boom shakalakaa :D

Then, you covering the rubber sole with paper tape. Don't worry, the glue & glitter will not leaking through the tape :)

Glue all with brush, and don't forget to caught the glitter powder with bowl
(It would be better you glue-ing per each sides)

Its not done yet, after all of completed, basking dry directly under the sun.
Its better you did it at sunny day)

Spray with Spray Mount Artist's Adhesive by 3M then dry again.
(Don't forget to lay with old papers)

Voila! After one hour left and its already to use^^

DETAILS :)

I'll name my glitter red converse with Dorothy, hohohohoo^^ I'll post with outfits soon!
